Each stage of the build process is shown in more detail below -
Foundation -
To provide strength and support for the garden room.
There are two ways the foundation can be installed.
Option one - 100mm Concrete Slab.
Option two - Ground Screws (opposite)
During the site survey we will discuss each option and depending on the area the build is sitting, we will help you make a fully informed decision.
Main Frame -
There are two options to create your new garden room
Option one - 4 x 2 C16 structural timbers set at 600mm centres creating the strong, long lasting main framework.
Option two -SIP's panels (opposite) - made up of insulation foam to various thicknesses and 2 boards of OSB (oriented strand board).
Each panel is connected with a sip spline ensuring the continuous insulation. Our sips panels have a maximum U value of 0.27
Externally -
Firstly we wrap the SIPS with a 100% waterproof, breathable membrane.
Then we fix treated roofing battens creating a gap for air to flow around the building.
Finally your choice of 5 types of cladding (3 timber, a composite cladding board and a render finish) is fixed to the battens
The result - A stunning finish to cope easily with the British climate all year round.
