In order to enjoy your painted cabin for a long time, it is necessary to maintain the surface professionally on a regular basis. If you carry out this maintenance yourself, please read the general safety instructions in our assembly instructions and also the corresponding maintenance information. Should the surface incur minor damage during assembly or delivery, please use the paint supplied to repair this damage.
This replacement paint is intended to repair small areas of mechanical damage or wood caps (spot repair) and not to paint large areas. Should you need paint rot repairing, please contact us and we'll be happy to help.
It is important to clean the surface regularly. This will significantly extend the life of your product. Inspect your garden cabin every year for possible dirt, algae growth, damage, delimitation or paint degradation. It is also Important to keep the paint free of vegetation or plants. They prevent adequate ventilation and lead to moisture buildup.
Pay particular attention to the sides facing the sun. These are exposed to more UV radiation and may need more attention.
Maintenance / Repainting
1 - Clean the surfaces to be maintained with an appropriate cleaning agent.
2 - Remove loose or porous layers of paint, preferably with a suitable abrasive material.
3 - Apply the maintenance coat with a suitable brush. Ensure the paint is applied thick and evenly.
4 - Allow paint to dry well (at least 48 hours)
5 - Apply a second coat to the renewed surface (attention, little paint absorption) thereby protecting the surface.
